Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how coCreatr collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account and profile information: your phone number for sign-in, name, age or age range, profile photo, bio, city or location you choose to share, niches, skills, collaboration preferences, and settings.
- Content and communications: clips, photos, videos, collab ideas, messages, reports, and other information you submit to the Service.
- Location: approximate or precise location only when you choose to grant device permission or enter a location, so we can show nearby creators, opportunities, and events. You can change device permission at any time.
- Connected social accounts: the account identifiers, display name, username, public profile details, and content or performance information you authorize a platform to share. The exact data depends on the platform and permissions you approve.
- Activity and device information: feature interactions such as likes, matches, messages, reports, notification preferences, push-notification token, app diagnostics, and information needed to prevent fraud and keep the Service secure.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, profiles, creator discovery, matching, collab ideas, messaging, and opportunity features.
- Personalize nearby recommendations and help eligible creators connect with other creators or businesses.
- Review linked creator accounts when you request access, enforce our community rules, handle reports, and prevent abuse.
- Send service, safety, account, and optional push notifications.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service.
How information is shared
Information you make public in your creator profile, clips, or collab activity may be visible to other Service users as the relevant feature requires. We share information with service providers that help run coCreatr, including cloud hosting, database, storage, authentication, and push-notification providers such as Supabase and Expo. When you connect a social account, the relevant platform's privacy policy also applies. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the Service, or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices
- Update profile content, collaboration preferences, and notification settings in the app.
- Disconnect a linked social account in the app where that option is available.
- Control camera, microphone, photo-library, and location permissions in your device settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your account information by emailing info@cocreatr.me. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain safety. You can request account deletion in Settings or by contacting us. Deleting an account removes or de-identifies information where reasonably possible, subject to lawful retention, backups, and information another user has already received or shared.
Automated and AI-assisted features
The AI content coach is not active in the closed beta. If we introduce an automated or AI-assisted feature, we will identify it in the relevant experience and update this Policy to explain the information it uses and the choices available to you.
Children and security
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the Service changes. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice and may request a new acknowledgement. Questions or privacy requests: info@cocreatr.me.
This beta-stage policy should be reviewed by a qualified privacy lawyer before public launch, particularly for the legal entity, state and international privacy rights, age requirements, retention schedule, and any analytics or AI features added later.
